HOW WILL WE USE YOUR DATA:

The Congruent Counsellor Ltd collects your data so that we can:

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR DATA:

The Congruent Counsellor Ltd need your data in order to provide you with information you have enquired about or to process your booking. If we do not collect this data, we will not be able to provide our services to you.

HOW DO WE STORE YOUR DATA SECURELY:

● Emails (accessed via phone): Stored on work phone, secured with a password.

● Emails (accessed via Laptop): Email account requires a username and password.

● Website: Full SSL Encryption meaning all your data is securely encrypted when entering, accessing and storing. All data and traffic on this site are handled via HTTPS requests. You can check this by seeing the padlock in the URL bar of your web browser.

HOW DO WE STORE YOUR DATA SECURELY:

● If you decide not to proceed with our services: We will delete your data within 30 days.

● If you decide to proceed with our services: The Congruent Counsellor Ltd’s Membership organisation (BACP) stipulate that The Congruent Counsellor Ltd must store your data for as long as is reasonable. The Congruent Counsellor Ltd’s insurance policy determines the storage period to be 7 years after contractual obligation has ended, (final session or termination of sessions). 

Once this time period has expired, The Congruent Counsellor Ltd will delete your data by:

​● Electronic data: Permanently deleted.

IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE YOUR CONSENT OR DO NOT WANT US TO STORE YOUR DATA:

​The Congruent Counsellor Ltd would have to save the request for deletion that you have made but would not save any other data. On some occasions The Congruent Counsellor Ltd would have to deny the deletion request.

● Ongoing Investigation, Litigation or Enquiry: Deleted on confirmation that it is no longer required. 

● Anonymised data such as testimonial provided by client: Kept until no longer required by The Congruent Counsellor Ltd.
